Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She has the record of being given 10/10 points in an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who would become Comaneci's coach later on she discovered her when she was six. Her first competition was in The National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In the year 1970, she took home the title. In her 1972 first international competition in a preolympics junior competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975, she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. The athlete won four golds and one silver in her debut competition as a senior, held in 1975. This was the first time she had competed as an older senior. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete a backward double salto as a dismount from the uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment industry performing as figure skater. Along with her younger twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her career in the entertainment business as a teen. She started her career performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating which included stage performances.
