Her birth was without a left hand and that is part of who she is--but that's not the entire story. Because of this, her Instagram profile doesn't shy away from her disabilities, yet the focus isn't on her disability either. The message? The message? We have many different aspects, that our identities and physical selves are not all that they appear. Lockhart in a video message from Nashville home, states that I do not want that to be a part of my character. I am more than my physical self. This doesn't interfere with my everyday life. All is well and I've learned to make adjustments. This is a major part of my life, and it's imperative to discuss it. Lockhart has served as an excellent example to other women with regards to self-acceptance. She has had periods where she felt insecure about dressing in certain styles that exposed her arms. Today, she wears anything she wants. She also posts her pictures to social networks. The self-love she talks about is a journey. I'm not sure whether you'll get to the point of no return. It's true for all regardless of degree of self-confidence. It's vital to surround yourself people who are able to see and know your true heart.
