Katherine Heigl reveals the ways that growing up as a child within a "white bubble" has impacted the way that she parented her adopted multiracial family. In an interview, actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane" actress, along with "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted that her appearance didn't concern her. However, when talking to her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society was treating them, she became aware of the stark differences they were. I inquired of Meg whether, while she was out with her parents she received a certain treatment and when out alone, she received a different one. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" That made me realize that I was naive," Heigl said to her parents. She admitted to becoming angry but felt she needed use that anger in order to assist the adopted children she has. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son who is married to her 13 year old spouse, Josh Kelley. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8 and Black and was adopted in 2012.
